Members of the L6R neighbourhood have been engaged in a process of community building through grassroots educational activities supported by the Brampton Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Programme. Many insights were gained from the numerous interactions with the people of our neighbourhood that led to a deeper understanding of the needs and concerns of the community. A collective purpose was developed amongst the youth who understood the special role they play in addressing the needs of their community. Arise Community Health Empowerment began in order to allow more and more young people to channel their talents, skills, and capacities towards the promotion and advancement of both their own health and well-being and that of their communities.
